Shroud World: A New Quest Begins…. |
Back in the mid-70s, when I first discovered the gaming hobby and Pen-and-Paper gaming, it was a dream of mine to really be able to take the visions of a fantasy world and bring them to life. NWN1 gave me and many others that opportunity to do just. NWN1 also gave hundreds of thousands of players an opportunity to quest for glory and overcome uncountable challenges. Hopefully, the release of NWN2 will give us a chance to build even more creative worlds and exciting adventures. As previously announced, the Shroud World team has full intentions of bringing our dark and challenging world to NWN2. This is an entirely new module built on the same deep history and intricate storyline that we have been developing since the release of NWN1. However, the new world does have a very different conceptual focus. The primary game design is Quest driven; character progression, class development, factions and fame, and item acquisition are all linked to Questing. The Shroud World NWN2 Test Server is available now for anyone that would be interested in helping us test, debug, and validate the world. We encourage anyone that likes to quest and has a good eye for detail to come help us build the best world possible. Your feedback can make a huge impact in the direction and excellence of the NWN2 Shroud World project. Feel free to log on the Shroud World Test Server under PW-Story (CEP required) or visit us at Shroudworld.com. |

Interesting Article on Warcry |
WarCry has two interesting articles about NWN2 on their site. The first article has some very interesting information about the Toolset including what new tilesets we can expect. They also have a short article about Persistent Worlds, though it contains nothing earth-shattering, it does confirm some of the eariler information we have received. PART ONE PART TWO |
